With a background in cultural anthropology and new media studies, Thijs (1984) has always been interested in the diversity of humanity and how it manifests itself in current times. In his work he tries to explore, raise questions and reflect upon this diversity, be it through open-minded portraits or abstract studio photography and film projects. Never to find truth but to find meaning, however small it may be, in an open discussion with the world.
